Level 3 Work and Train Snowsports Instructor

About being a Level 3 Work and Train Snowsports Instructor

• We’re welcoming applications from Level 2 certified snowsports instructors who are booked into a Level 3 Work and Train programme with one of our partner Instructor training programme providers. Work period is June 24 – July 21. You’ll be joining a talented team of fulltime instructors to work on our Queenstown mountains Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. After the peak season holiday period ends you’ll transition into a fulltime Level 3 training programme under the expert guidance of our world class instructor trainers in preparation for NZSIA Level 3 Ski or Snowboard Exams.  

About you  

• You’ll have experience teaching skiing or snowboarding as a Level 2 instructor.
• You are booking into a Level 3 training programme through a provider or direct with NZSki which starts July 22.
• You are a resident of NZ or Australia or hold a current working holiday visa. 
• You’ll have accommodation sorted in Queenstown and available to start work June 24 for a fixed term, ending July 21st 

Onboarding  

• Commences Saturday June 24 to prepare you with all the tools you’ll need to deliver outstanding lesson experiences for our guests. You will be teaching a combination of group and private experiences alongside our fulltime team of 300 instructors in Queenstown. This opportunity is open to those who already hold NZSIA or SBINZ (or international equivalent) Level 2 certification. 

Requirements:

• You must be available to work fulltime for the fixed term period June 24 – July 21.
• Please indicate in the application which provider you are signing up for the Level 3 Training from the following options: SITCo, Educating Adventures Snowminds, Alpine Academy, NZSki 

About the role:  

• 3 Peak Season Pass which you may keep on completion of a minimum of 4 weeks of fulltime employment (based on maintaining a required standard of work). 
• Staff transport of scheduled days of work. Access to booking transport on days off while in the work period.
• Staff discounts during the short, fixed term fulltime work period.
• Pre-boarding online before your arrival.
• Onboarding training will commence June 24
• Snowsports uniform (jacket, plants, puffer),access to staff lockers between June 24 – July 21. 
• You will need to provide all your own equipment including ski or snowboarding gear, ski or snowboard boots, helmet, gloves, goggles, winter boots to wear to and from work
• You will need have access to accommodation, and a smartphone for operational communications, rostering and scheduling updates
